Business calls for governments globally to take joined-up action on climate change

Climate Change In The Time Of Global RecessionIn association with the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), AEA commissioned a global research study to understand how current economic conditions will impact business transformation to a low carbon economy.
This study reveals the views of some of the world's largest companies on their attitude to climate change, what actions they are prepared to take to mitigate the affects of climate change and what governments could do to assist businesses.
Key findings from this report reveal that:
- Some of the world's largest and most successful companies want governments to work together to put in place a global agreement on climate change
- Companies want incentives to develop new low carbon technologies
- Companies want much tougher action taken against businesses that fail to take steps themselves to reduce their carbon emissions
