AEA voted Best Consultancy for Climate Change and Renewables

by their peers at the 2008 EDIE Awards.

The award was voted for by consultants in the environmental consultancy sector as part of the annual EDIE awards.

In a victory that highlights AEA’s first class reputation in these fields, the 2008 survey saw AEA equal 2007 and 2006’s achievement in the sector, after the company came out on top in the eyes of both consultants and customers.

AEA Shares in Nobel Peace Prize

Four AEA experts, John Watterson, Justin Goodwin, Keith Brown and Mike Woodfield, have shared in the winning of a Nobel Peace Prize through their work with the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).

The IPCC was created almost twenty years ago in response to growing concern about the risk of anthropogenic climate change. The General Assembly of the United Nations asked the two UN bodies most engaged in the issue, the World Meteorological Organization and the United Nations Environment Programme, to set up this Panel to provide balanced, objective policy advice.

The Nobel peace prize was awarded to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change jointly with former US Vice-President Al Gore.

The BCE Awards aim to provide a unique opportunity for any business to demonstrate clearly that corporate responsibility is an integral part of their organisation, and that they are innovative and ahead of the competition.

As well as managing and sponsoring the Awards, AEA also provides technical expertise through Geoff Dollard - AEA’s Knowledge Leader for Air and Water - who is a member of the Award’s technical panel.
